Beer in the copper dress. The Goudale IPA is the perfect marriage of several American hops from the plains of Yakima (Washington State-USA). It reveals notes of citrus fruit and exotic fruits and wants to dry with pronounced bitterness. The yeast and cereals used in its recipe complete its taste palette with aromatic notes.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with airy white head. Clear aroma of hops and yeast, with notes of caramel and malt. Bitter flavour of hops, with notes of malt and Belgian yeast, and touches of bread. Bitter, hoppy aftertste with estery notes. Well, drinkable but not very illuminating.

Bottle, 7.2%. Fruity aroma spicy, seems a little roasted. Clear amber colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is mostly of Belgian yeast. Fruity and slightly funky. Slightly harsh bitterness, but fairly clean.

bottle from føtex.carlsberg. clear dark orange, smooth offwhite head. pretty bad industrial metallic cereral hoppy aroma, faint hay and faint herbs. has a rural feel to it, and not in a good way. Flavor is malty, sour socks, metallic notes, aftertaste is mostly vomit but also some metal. No way this tastes any way near an ipa. some of the vomit like notes might be due to the yeast, if it is the case, it’s the worst ever use of beglian yeast i encountered. I understand ratebeer put it in as belgian ale, but don’t get your hopes high, this beer is a mess in many ways imo.

33 cl bottle: BB 27th Sep 2018. Drank at home on 10th Aug 2017. Not too sure this is an IPA really, but it wasn’t a bad beer. Golden amber body, weak off-white topping. Malty molasses in the nose and taste hide the hop content so much that I had no idea Simcoe and Cascade’s were in there: no tropical or citrus fruitiness in the aroma or flavour. My sweet tooth however quite liked the brew.

330 mml bottle. Tasted on the 29/07/2017 at home. Ipa??? Really?? Clear golden colour with a thin fizzy white head. Aroma of malts, grains and sweet caramel, almost no hops. Taste is grainy and sweet with a yeasty finish. Not an IPA. Next one please!

*Bottle from Super U, Œting. Slightly sweetish malty. The hops are hidden, hints of floralness, sweetish malty with hints of hops in the back. Slightly sweetish sticky, a bit floral in the back, easy to drink, but no IPA.
