Beer in the copper dress. The Goudale IPA is the perfect marriage of several American hops from the plains of Yakima (Washington State-USA). It reveals notes of citrus fruit and exotic fruits and wants to dry with pronounced bitterness. The yeast and cereals used in its recipe complete its taste palette with aromatic notes.

clear dark golden to amber colour, large, dense off-white head with yellowish notes; aroma of Belgian yeast, wine cellar, overripe fruits and caramel; taste of an average Belgian ale - I don’t know why it is indicated as IPA in its label - it is clearly a Belgian ale - though not a bad one at all.

Flaska från Saveur Bieré. Belgisk IPA? Smak och doft av humle, malt, karamell, örter, honung, äpplen, koriander, vete, belgisk jäst. Stor sötma, fruktig, snarare en blonde med mer humle än en IPA i traditionell mening. Fin beska.

330ml bottle from Auchan. Pours clear gold, good white head. Aroma is fairly sweet, floral, creamy, yeasty. Taste is not what I was expecting, which was an IPA. The ’IPA’ lettering is even slanted on the label in a way traditional brewers do to appear hip to IPA drinkers. What it is, is a half-decent Belgian-style blonde ale, bright, sweet and well-carbonated not too dissimilar to St Omer. I enjoyed it.
