Fra fat på Hyde Park, Plymouth 22 Sep 16. Gyldenbrun. Filmskum. Lett grapefruktaroma. Smaken tørket frukt. Holder seg tørr med en bitter avslutning. Uvariert.

Half pint, shared with Finn, cask at Hyde Park, Plymouth. Fragile white head blanketing the glass. Dark golden body, clear. Restrained smell of bread and lemon. Similar taste of grainy malts backed by lemony hops. Rounded, mild bitter endnotes. Easy to drink. Middle of the road, more or less (22.09.2016).

Cask as Summer Gold at 3.6% at The Great Western Hotel, Exeter. A dark golden beer with a Thin white head. The aroma has notes of malt and flowery hops, leading to a lightly bitter finish.

[Gravity cask at the Fez-tival at the Boathouse, Dawlish Warren, Devon] Failed to write down the ABV for this one - I’ve emailed both the brewery and pub but have yet to have a response from either. I’ll update the entry if I do find out. Pours amber, slight white head. Initially syrup-sweet, then growing grassy hops. A dusty straw bitterness in the finish. A slightly sticky mouthfeel means that this lacks the thirst-quenching refreshment you expect from a summer ale.
