50cl bottle. Vasa tasting. Poured dark brown color with a thin white head. Coffee overdose. Chocolate, roasted malt. Tobacco. Heavy with tobacco finish, dry. Not that balanced.

500 ml bottle. Gusher but no sign of infection. Black body with a big, fluffy beige head. Aroma is basically coffee and not much more. Flavor has some dark malt, but the coffee dominates here as well. Some bitterness. Medium body and mostly coffee in aftertaste. Drinkable but rather one-dimensional coffee.

Bottle. Next to black in the glass, topped by a small, dense beige head. There’s plenty of coffee on the nose, like coffee grit actually, leaving little room for anything else. Some roasted, almost burnt malt, bonfire springs to mind. Not much hops joining in. It’s lightly bitter in the mouth, semi dry, with a soft carbonation. Lots of coffee, although not in the copious amounts found in the aroma. Everlasting bitter, coffee finish. Quite nice, but too much coffee focus. There’s not much else going on. 161102

Small beige head doesn’t last. Opaque black body. Earthy roasty cold coffee aroma with vanilla notes. Sweetish earthy vanilla cold coffee taste with roasty chocolatey notes. Mid-to-thin body. Dryish earthy chocolatey aftertaste with vanilla notes. Hints of mustard toward the end. Nice, drinkable, certainly has character. (0.5l bottle, from wine monopoly, Storo. Batch #40.)

Bottle at home. Has a dark brown to black colour with a khaki head. Aroma of coffee beans, licorice, earth, soya sauce and chocolate truffles. Has a roaste flavour of ash, dark chocolate, soya sauce and cold coffee. Has a slick and light mouth feel, and a light to medium body and a medium bitterness. A well roasted and fairly light porter.
