Named after the Thunderbolts which flew for the USAF from RAF Headcorn (Kent) during WW2.

A delicious Double Dry Hopped IPA, using Citra / Mosaic / Simcoe / Azacca / Idaho 7 Hops in the Whirlpool, this beer was hopped very late to give a very gentle bitterness but maximum hop flavour, we also dry hopped the beer with Mosaic & Simcoe hopes to ramp up the aroma and flavour. You can expect flavours of Peach, Mango & Orange on the nose followed through with tons of stone fruit in the mouth, we grammed this brew with tons of Rolled Oats & CARAPILs to give this beer plenty of body and a silky smooth mouthfeel.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol, 27/12/2016. Deep gold in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Aroma of crystallised oranges with some leafy hops. Flavour had more sweet fruits, rich malts and caramel, before a dryish finish. Fine.

6.8% Cask gravity at Lifeboat Margate. Clear amber lasting ivory head. Some Syrupy malt. Some vague citrus fruits. Not overly bitter sweet Syrupy. More an English strong ale than a ipa.
