Our Lover’s Leap ale brewed specially to celebrate this year’s Leap Year! Named after Hannah Baddeley who in 1762 after being Jilted, threw herself from a cliff in the Peak District. Luckily for her,her petticoat opened out like a parachute and let her down safely. Hannah survived with nothing more than cuts and bruises – except for her broken heart. She died two years later, aged 26 and still a spinster!

Cask at Babington Arms (JDW). Half-pint shared with Finn. Beige tophead to a clear amber body. Fair lacework. Aroma of leaves and dough, mid-sweet. Mid-sweet flavours of pale malts and leafy hops. Short bitter tail. Easy to drink. Satisfying (Derby 16.02.2016).
