Ringnes Brewery was founded in 1876 by Amund and Ellef Ringnes, together with investor Axel Heiberg. The famous Ringnes Pilsner was introduced to the market in 1886. From 1913 to 1972, Ringnes brewed a low alcohol beer called Ringnes Landsøl, later replaced by Ringnes Lettøl (Light Beer). In 2015, this beer was relaunched, in a can.

With a golden colour and a full head, this beer has a light aroma of hops and light malt. The taste is suprisingly full with a clean taste, a dry mouthfeel and a rich bitterness.

330 ml can, from Rema 1000 Tau. ABV is 2.5%. Clear golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of pilsener malts and grassy and floral hops, not bad. Light bodied as expected. Fairly dry flavour, rather bland and grainy, with moderate bittering hops. Could have been worse.

330ml can picked up at a Prix store in Stokmarknes. Pours a clear late straw coloured body. White head reduced to a filmy layer. Dotted spots on the glass. Vague aroma of mid-sweet pale malts. Grainy taste with a brief note of caramel, hints of grass. Short, mid-sweet malty end. Soft carbonated. Thin bodied. Clean and drinkable (Stokmarknes 31.07.2016).

Clear golden color with a fine white head. The head vanish a little bit to soon. Looks ok. Decent ok with an ok intensity. Not the horrible usual low alcohol stuff. Light body and a fine carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Not to sweet as these usual are. Malty and mild herbal flavor. Unusual ok low alcohol beer. Well done Ringnes.

Boks 330ml fra Eurospar Kvaløysletta. Gyldenbrungul. Lavt skum som daler sakte. Litt filigranser. Forsiktig maltaroma. Smaken også malt. Litt syrlig etter hvert. Bra matøl. Ble ikke for søt.
