Bottle. An almost clear one, golden in color and with a dense, off-white head of two-finger size. Lacings. The aroma is fruity and grassy, with some pine cones and a touch of alcohol. It’s medium to full-bodied, with a soft carbonation and a warming touch. Fruity, grassy and lightly grainy flavor with some bitterness and alcohol. Lasting fruity finish. Not very interesting this one, too alcoholic, but else quite decent and drinkable. 150724

330 ml bottle. Golden/orange body with a big, lasting off-white head. Aroma is mild, ripe fruit and a bit spicy. Flavor is sweet malt, light caramel, dry fruit, spicy and OK bitterness. Fine balanced body and decent aftertaste. Nothing mind blowing, but a solid, traditional ale.

330ml bottle picked up at Vinmonopolet Vika. Creamy, off-white head leaving crocheted behind. Unclear golden-orange coloured body. Smell of pale malts and dusty hops. Fresh fruity flavours, hints of apricot and orange. Subdued citrus peels to the finish. Medium bodied. A pretty nice one (shared with Skinnyviking and Finn, Tromsø 14.01.2015).

Bottle at home. Pours a clear amber colour with a big, ivory head. Malty aroma with caramel, wood, dried fruit, grass and some spices. The flavour has more leather, grassy hops and wood. Has a slick mouth feel, and a pronounced but balanced, dry bitterness. A typical british strong ale, maybe a bit one dimensional for a Christmas type of beer. Some spicy tones in the background though.
