The beer is amber gold in colour with a sweet floral aroma from the heather honey. On the palate, it has a slight floral sweetness balanced by the biscuity malt and crisp bitterness. The tradition of honey beers to celebrate weddings is said to have given us the term ‘honeymoon’, whether there is any truth in this or not, we’re not sure, it seemed like a good excuse to us! It’s brewed with Pale ale malt, Premium Cara malt, Amber malt, Pilgrim and Sovereign hops and Heather Honey. This is a limited-edition, one-off brew.

Cask at Bree Louise, Euson 19 May 11. Golden brown. No head. Bubbles on the glass. Does not look inviting at all. Strong smell of honey. Honey dominates the taste as well. Quite watery & boring. (Hope the wedding turns out better).
