The aromas are caramel malt, slightly oxidized hops, spice, and some fruit. Flavors are like nose, Bittersweet at First becoming more bitter. Okay body and finish.

Sampled from the tap at the Saugatuck location. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet citrus with a touch of pine and a grain backbone. Flavor has a nice citrus through out with touches of pine, grass and grain supporting.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours slightly hazy golden orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, pine, toasted bread, light honey/caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, pine, toasted bread, light honey/caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, toasted bread, light honey/caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.2%. Overall this is an excellent IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and pretty refreshing to drink; with the modestely bitter/resinous/drying finish, never aggressive. Very classic tasting Midwest IPA. Feels like Columbus, Centennial, and Amarillo hops. Very vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; nice malt backbone, with mild lingering sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.

Sample at the Northport location. Cloudy copper-gold color with a medium bone white head that recedes steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing. Fruit, hops and malt aroma. Medium body with flavors of grapefruit, hops and malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short citrusy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.
