Bottle. Dark amber with an off-white head. Alcohol and raisins with a hint of caramel. Some herbal bitterness and a bit sour, maybe there was something wrong with the bottle - not much sweetness, it was more sour.

Bottle, at Ølfestival 2011. A clear, copper colored beer with a small, beige head. Alcohol, dried fruits, caramel and some hoppyness on the nose. Lightly bourbon-ish. The flavor has a nice bitterness towards the warming and sweet finish. In the beginning there’s caramel maltyness, dried fruits, alcohol and some bourbon. Full-bodied, almost sticky, yet smooth, and quite warming. Overall, too warming, but a decent beer anyway. 110527

330 ml bottle @ Melkebaren, Sandnes. Almost clear, deep, reddish body with a small, dense tan head. Fantastic aroma of dark malt, Bourbon, oak, caramel, vanilla and alcohol. Sweet malty flavor with Bourbon, oak, dry fruit and warming alcohol. Quite sweet and bitter, but have a really nice balance against the alcohol and feels fantastic. Full body and long aftertaste.

Small white head. Hazy amber body. Strong alcoholic raisins and fruit aroma with liqueur notes. Dry-sweet alcoholic papery fruity taste with earthy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, hot mouthfeel. Dryish mealy papery fruity aftertaste with alcoholic bubblegum notes. Awful. Far too much alcohol flavour. DIdn’t finish it. (0.33l bottle, Amundsen, Oslo.)

Draught at Københavnske Øldage 2011. Almost clear nut brown, no head. Heavy bourbon aroma. Sweet and caramelly. The strong bourbon flavours go well with the caramelly, and seems to dry it out a little - which is needed. Mild peppery finish with fatty notes. The bourbon barreling did really good to this.
