On Saturday the 8th November I took the bus from St Andrews to the costal town Kirkcaldy and visited the much awarded Harbour Bar where I had a comfortable drinking session of well kept real ales handpulled from casks and served at the right drinking temperature. This one has got a harvest golden body colour with a very thin, white head. Careful floral aroma. Fruity hops in flavour with hints of pears. Not overly bitter to be polite. Light in the mouth [08.11.2008].

Cask handpull at Market Porter, Borough Market. Nice American hop aroma, bit thin in mouth, sherberty hop. Drying muddy hop finish. Aroma is good. Could be better in mouth. Very arid finish. Takes a bit of getting used to. Quite nice grapefruit. Bit of spice. Improves as the pint goes down.
