From shared bottle at Maakun’s, courtesy of Maakun. Dark brown with bubbly tan head. Deep chocolate notes and sweet malts, dry woody notes, light sour oak. Grassy and light fruity hops. Cola. Moderate sweet and bitter, light sour. Under medium body and soft carbonation.

Bottle shared at home. Clear dark brown with huge light beige head. Light cocoa, dank hops, some red berries, ash, soft malts, lime. Like a light black ipa. Light sweet and medium bitter with a light tart finish. Under medium bodied with slightly dry feel. I bought this because of the over the top well done label, but it’s also a decent beer.

33cl bottle. BBE 23.01.2018, batch #22. Poured near black in color with a thin off white head. Roasty nose, some licorice, hops and bread. Inviting. Black IPA wibes, but later it gets bit sweeter, syrupy almost, with roasted notes and dark bread. Dry finish, light to medium bodied.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - batch 22 - BB 23.01.18, 20170801) The beer poured nearly black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had pine, liquorice and burnt malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were pine, liquorice, burnt malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, burnt and bitter. A nice dark hoppy brew. The oak chips escaped my senses.

33cl bottle from Uba ja Humal, Tallinn. Pours dark maghogany coloured with a beige head. Surprisingly hoppy aroma; piney and mild citrusy with nice roasty notes, dark chocolate and dark fruits. Don’t know quite what I expected, but this was surprisingly tasty and at least more flavourful than expected. Moderate sweet with medium flavour intensity and bitterness. Very enjoyable!
