Shared 500ml bottle, batch 8, poured into a tulip shaped glass at Bar Bowling Førtito in Sarpsborg. Tiny white layer, fragile lacing. Hazy apricot coloured body. Lemony hops on the nose with semi-sweet malts beneath. Fresh citrus taste of peach and lemon that lingers throughout, herbal hops beneath. Medium bodied. Smooth and clean (Tour de Østfold, RBNG-event 15.02.2014).

Bottle, at 42. An unclear, golden beer with a small off-white head. Some cellar notes in the aroma, peaches, malts and grass. Medium to full body with a small, off-white head. Pine cones, resins and grass in the aroma, malts in the back. Some bitterness in the flavor, with grass and resins and a solid malt base. Long bitter finish. Nice indeed, but a tad boring. 140215

Appearance: Light hazy golden color with a fine white head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Caramel malty, hoppy and some fruity notes.
Palate: Medium + body. Tad sweet and a fresh bitterness. Average to soft carbonation. Oily texture.
Taste: Citric hoppy, butterscotch and fruity on a fine malty back.
Overall impression: Fresh and tasty apa. I would have wished a little bit more hopps.
Personal stats: On tap at Havnelageret in Fredrikstad, Norway.

500 ml test bottle from the brewery. Batch #8. ABV is 5.7%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma of sweetish malts and fruity American hops, a hint of marmalade,a whiff of diacetyl. Fizzy mouthfeel. The flavour is moderately fruity and medium bitter, with some "dusty" notes in the background. Okay, but not quite there with the top ales of the style.
