Dark brown color with a fine tan head. Nice lacing. Coffee, chocolate and roasted aroma. Nice body with a fine balance between sweetness and bitterness. Soft carbonation. Fine tasty and balanced flavor. Bready, mild roasted, coffee and chocolate. Nice tasty ale, but I miss the Christmas feeling.

300ml poured from tap at the brewpub. Remaining tan-coloured layer at the top of a near-black body. Firm lacework to the glassware. Rum and dark vanilla on the nose added by dark Christmas spices. Chocolate, liquorice, and spicy flavours. Herbal dry ending. Fine Christmas mood in this one (Copenhagen 05.12.2013).

Draft. A pitch black beer with a lazing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of honey, spices, roasted malt, and raisins. The flavor is sweet with notes of cinnamon, bourbon, wood, roasted malt, alcohol, and ash, leading to a dry finish. A bit all over the place on my palate.

From tap. Pours hazy to pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is chcolate and roasted malt. Chocolate, powdery. Bitter, toasted malty and dry. Bitter, slight herbal and chocolate finish.
