From shared bottle at Maakun’s. Black with tan head. Sweet deep roasted and quite smooth chocolate malts. Charcoal, blueberries, ash. Over medium sweet and deep bitter. Full body, slick and soft with soft carbonation. --- Beer merged from original tick of White Label Russian Imperial Stout Red Wine Blend BA on 27 Nov 2017 at 10:43 - Score: 8. Original review text: 4

Bottle shared at home thanks to sjogro. Black with quite big dark beige head. Lots of sweet malts, toffee, dark chocolate, old wood, soft berries. It has a weird old smell to it, but when sipping I get more good sweet RIS notes, balanced with some oak tannins. Lots of old and 'dried' notes to it. Over medium sweet and medium bitter. Full bodied with creamy feel. Quite decent.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of chocolate, red fruit, licorice, oak and caramel. Taste has licorice, chocolate, mocha, oak, some coffee and only a faint hint of red fruit. Body is a bit thin. If I did not know beforehand, I would not have guessed this was red wine ba. Maybe oaked, but no aging on barrels that held other spirits. Not a promising start of the new white label series.
