April 2020: Malty aroma. Malty flavour too, notes of Belgian ale yeast, brown bread and brown sugar, but not very sweet. Some sourish hints. Earthy hops in the finish.

Rødbrun farge med beige skum. Lukter karamell og noe frukter. Søt karamell og noe rosiner i smak. Tror kanskje jeg smaker enn noe bedre versjon ift. det som har blitt skrevet om denne tidligere.

Bottle. A big off-white head forms over a more or less clear deep amber to brown body. The aroma has a yeasty touch, with bread crust, caramel, some dried fruits and a cellar touch more related to Belgian ales than a brown ale style beer. There's quite a lot of carbonation going on, it's sweet, but far from sticky, and it dries up a bit towards the very end. Medium to full body. Caramel, roasted malts notes, brown sugar and dark dried fruits, some grass hints and a touch of bitterness in the flavor. Medium length finish. There's quite a lot of good things going on here, but it's a bit troubled by the yeast and carbonation level. 200503

500ml bottle, brygg nr. 63, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Tromsø. Misty red-brown body, dissipating beige head, dotted spots on the glass. Smell of brown malts and yeast. Strange flavour mix of yeast, bread, mealy caramel and sour spices. Diluted. Out of tune. Possible to drink but most of the content went down the drain. (Tromsø 27.12.2017).
