Lowish bitterness, medium malt caramel body. Very well done to style. A rarely made pale ale that isnt too hoppy and also very clean. Can brought back home from Tor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled, from Urban Fresh, Ottawa. Hazy copper colour, mid sized head. Mild citrus and crystal malt up front. Dry with light body and clean mouthfeel. Bread and citrus. Mid bitter finish. Pretty good, but not very English.

Great Lakes Pompous Ass English Ale 4.2% This was a random find at an LCBO in Ottawa. Amber orange color with beige head. The aroma is malty wafers, orange and vanilla. Medium to full bodied with a semi-dry mouthfeel. The taste is peaches, cream, orange, malt, wafers. A good solid English beer they surpasses the label. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nitro at BarHop. Murky brown with thick nitro beige head. Lots of tea, some wood, sugar and roasted grains, faint orange. Light sweet and bitter. Light bodied with low carbonation. Better than a lot of actual English ones while still being true to the style. Nice.

Xan sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks troubles. Amber. Nice aroma of malt, toast, a bit of fruitiness, and nice earthy and floral hops. Flavor has sweetish malt, slightly toasty and biscuity, with a bitterish floral hops finsh. Light to medium-bodied. Decent.

Keg at Bar Hop. Clear amber/brown body with a thin off-white head. No visible carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of nuts and earth. Flavour of honey, stewed tea and earthy hops. Thin to medium body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Well balanced and subtle.

Can, YYZ. Light brown with a thin head. Has a nice earthy, toasty brown ale character, good english hops, touch of bitterness. Body is thin , though, which undermines it. More residual sugars and they’d have something.
