Handpull cask at the Kings Head, Leicester. Golden brown and clear with a thick off-white head. Malty aroma, some Earthy notes, Sharp citrus. Taste is on the bitter side, without a lot of subtlety leading to more astringent in the fi ish. Body is a but watery, soft to medium carbonation. Disappointing.

Half-pint, cask at The Plough. A clear amber coloured body, filmy layer, spotty lacing on the glass. Mild caramel malts on the nose, joined by sweet fruity notes. Caramel and biscuit flavours. Decent bittersweet ending, mid-dry. Classic Brit bitter. (Worcester 08.07.2018).
