One-third pint as Winter Brown Ale, 4.5 %, on keg at Brewhouse and Kitchen, Hoxton. A stable beige head leaving crocheted lacing on the glass. Misty red-brown coloured body. Promising smell of pinewood and brown malts. Brown malty flavours balanced by piney notes. Malty ending with subdued roasted bitterness. Pretty alright. (London 10.01.2019).

Keg atthe brewpub - Hoxton. Pours clear amber with a lasting, foamy off-white cap. Tasty, has some bitter cocoa, well toasted brown bread, pine, bitter grass. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Bitter finish, more well toasted brown bread, baking cocoa accents, more burnt pine, citrus peel. Not bad.
