Bottle, courtesy of the brewery. It's a close to black beer, topped by a dense finger-thick head of moderate size. Some lacing. The aroma is quite roasted and burnt, with dark dried fruits and indications of sweetness to come. Caramel sauce, hints of peat and some licorice too. It's rather thin on the palate, smooth, with a soft carbonation. Sweetish, yet with a dryish touch, especially in the finish. Some burn malts sourness. Burnt malts and notes of bonifre, roasted malts and toast, dried fruits and licorice and a touch of licorice and caramel sauce in the flavor. Long finish. Pity this one isn't at around 7-8 % ABV, that would suit the beer much better. 180929
