An overwhelming response to both versions of Chinook Ekuanot we made back when we brewed under our old name meant we’ve been meaning to come back to this hop-combo and give it a fresh run under the Polly’s banner, complete with our new fermentation profile. The stars aligned and we found an opportunity to rebrew one of our favourite beers, resulting in a dank, hop-bomb of a pale ale that keeps all the pillowy sweetness of an East Coast Pale, but backs it up with a characteristic Polly’s bite

150ml on tap at Agenturet Øl og Vinbar. Hazed golden body, filmy layer leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Promising aromas of lemony drops. Ripe lemony hops to the taste buds, malty sweetness beneath. Pleasant bitterness to the ending. Pretty good. (Tromsø 16.01.2020).

440ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with average to huge, fluffy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Slightly piney, citrusy, and tropcial fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of canned pineapple, some lemon, rather homogeneous, unspecific fruitiness overall. Taste is slightly citrusy fruity, piney, bitter hoppy, dry, woody hints of pineapple, a touch of lemon; dry, papery cardboard finish.
