Keg at HL2, 16/08/19. Black with a tan covering that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, roast malts, toffee, light spice. Taste comprises bitter sweet malts, chocolate martini, light charr, dark fruits, molasses, brown sugar melt, light coffee grinds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced boost offered. Ok impy … you get the martini suggestion.

Keg at BD Inverurie - cheers! It pours hazy dark brown with a bubbky beige/tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, big coffee character, roasted malt, earthy, nut, chocolate, maltesers, praline, sticky and toasted brown sugars. The taste is initially dry roasted, bitter - sweet, big pleasant kick of coffee, earthy, creamy chocolate, sticky, Tunnocks wafer, malteres and a kick of boozey warmth with a slick finish. Medium-full body and fine carbonation. On the face of it sounds too sweet for me, but the balances works very well. Plenty of coffee and alcohol to keep the chocolate in check.
