Backlog January 2017. Clear amber body under a big, creamy tan head. Nice spicy aroma with ginger, malt and caramel. Taste is smooth and malty, slightly toasted, ginger and hint of cloves and other Christmas spices. Smooth but a bit one dimensional.

Bottle, thx to bergstaden. A clear dark amber colored beer with a small off-white head. Spiced aroma of cloves, cardamom and ginger, with caramel and bread in the back. It’s way too low on carbonation, making it feel watery. Medium body, and not really sweet or bitter. Spiced, bready flavor with some caramel and dried fruits. Certainly a beer where I can see the Christmas relation, but the lack of carbonation makes it quite uninteresting. Nice spice and malts balance. 170731

330ml bottle, L113, bought at Gulating, Tromsø. Next to clear amber-red body. Off-white, patchy surface. Fragile lacing. Spicy aroma with ginger to the fore. Ginger dominates the flavour profile joined by dark dough. Mid-sweet ending. Flat in the mouth. To much ginger for a higher score (Tromsø 01.01.2017).
