Bottle. Chantry Inn, Handsworth, Sheffield. Clear, deep cola brown. Fine beige head is semi lacing. Nose has light roast coffee bean. Milk chocolate caramel. Some woody liquorice. Taste is sweet and milky. Punchy, cocoa and coffee bitterness. Medium body. Soft fizz. Lingering bitterness to finish. Decent stout.
Tried again 24.02.25 on cask at the Chantry Inn. Had to re-rate this (pretty certain I’ve not done this before). Nearly black. Tight thick mocha crema. An easy 10. Nose has 65% cocoa solids chocolate. Light roast malt. Whiff of quality latte coffee. Taste is semi overall with a dark chocolate twang of bitterness. Unreal nick this. Drinks smooth and ridiculously easy. Nip of bitterness to finish. Cask beer at its very finest.
