Has okay darker gold body with little foam, smells of heavy sweet malt and syrup. Flavour is all soft maltiness, chewy, vague thick pine, there's a full and oily finish and the abv is very well hidden. Still, it's quite simplistic and kinda boring.

Decent beer but definitely not an Imperial IPA, moreso an English Pale except for the ABV %

2018-04-26, draught at Pat's Pub/Hastings Mill, Vancouver, 6-4-6-2-10=28
Hazy amber colour with small compact head. The aroma is a bit grainy and bready. Moderate residual sweetness, malt and some caramel as a base, bready, grainy, with strong bitterness, no hop quality, pithy final.
I get that this may be not very fresh, but still it isn't working for me.

2018-03-28, draught at St. Augustine's, Vancouver, 6-4-6-2-12=30
Cloudy golden color. Mild arom aof malt, light arom aof old hops, some resins. A bit sweet and chewy when compared to modern IIPAs, the malt base is a bit bready, light toffee; the hopping is rather harsh, with pithy vegetable bitterness, chicory, and a touch of resins.
Not a fan.

Draught @ Hastings Mill Brewing. Light amber, thin head. Strong chewy malt and alcohol, with a splash of earthy hops. Balanced if unexciting old school, from the early days of DIPA.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy amber orange with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out earthy, resinous hops, caramel malt and bready notes. Flavour is very fruity, with loads of red fruits, caramel malt and resinous hops. A very malt-forward IIPA, more like a hoppy barley wine. Solid.
