Poured from the tap @ Mountainview. Clear gold with small white head. Clean, biscuity malt with some feint esters. One of their first beers that they have now tried to re-brew. Okay.

Good copper brown body and okay foam, sweet caramel on the nose reminiscent of those macro red ales like Rickard's Red or something. Hey, at least it smells of something. Flavour is very heavy sweet grain, overly sweet biscuit and more caramel. There's this terrible aftertaste I can't get behind. Maybe if I drink enough of it I won't notice? Still.... flawed.

This one's sweet. Now, I know that Anchor Steam is pretty sweet compared with a lot of beers these days, so I get that part. What I don't get is the bubblegum. Seems they fermented a touch too warm for the yeast, left it sticky and Big League Chew.
