330ml bottle. Cloudy, light amber colour with small to average, fluffy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Minimally grainy and bready, malty as well as yeasty fruity aroma, hints of cereals, apple, baked apple, dried fruit, slight muesli touch overall, herbal-grassy hoppy overtones with a touch of woodruff. Taste is moderately bitter, herbal-grassy hoppy, minimally bready and grainy, pale malty, yeasty fruity, hints of apple, baked apple, pear, cereals, a touch of dried fruit, raisin, slight muesli character again. Slightly bitter finish is augmented with a touch of woodruff; well hidden alcohol. Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Well hopped, pleasant composition - not bad.

0.33 l bottle from 't Biermenneke, best before August 2022. Slightly hazy, golden amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Sweetish, gently yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity-floral aroma of vanilla, clove, honey, some banana and light peach. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity-floral taste of vanilla, honey, clove, banana and a touch of peach, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, rather yeasty-spicy and a bit grassy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, very lively carbonation. Tasty cassic Belgian Strong Golden, extremely well-balanced, also well-brewed. The high carbonation fits in as well. A pleasant surprise!
