Bottle at Speciaalbier Café De Markies, Leeuwarden. Big Bourbon aroma with orange zest, caramel, toffee, dried fruits, spirits, oak. Sweet flavour, alcoholic finish. Full body. Boozy and rich, dig the fruity tones, lots of tasty Bourbon. Great.

Pours dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, cocoa, alcohol, dried fruits and oak. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long malty, caramel, cocoa, dried fruits and oak finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Frothy off-white fair mostly diminishing head. Dark red amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy powerful aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long fantastic moderate bitter finish. Wine barrel more present than bourbon barrel. Creamy palate.

Bottled 375ml. -at Goblet Zagreb. Brown coloured, small beige head that went away fast, bourbon and caramel in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel, brown sugar, bourbon, notes of prunes and again some bourbon in the finish. Dried fruits also. Not bad at all.

Bottle, 375 ml, shared with Zec, Max and Miro B at Miro's Grande 2022. Brown with no head. Caramel, quite sweet, dried fruit, some barrel, low carbonation. Medium bodied.

#100 Barley Wine… Bottle at home, from Siren Tap Yard, 6th February 2022. Pours a dark murky chestnut brown. Aroma is dark fruits, caramel, booze soaked fruits, wood, barrel and zest. Taste is caramel, prunes, dark fruits, orange zest, slight citrus, barrel, whiskey. Complex and warming, smooth and delicious.

Bottle picked up from Beerdome Webshop,Grootegaste, Netherlands. Had this Tuesday 16th November 2021 (my birthday) we had Makkaroni mit Pfifferlingsauce and listening to Marc Riley on 6 Music. Pours deep mahogany brown with a mid sized dark cappuccino coloured head. The aroma is a multitude of scents, woody, molasses, boozy, figs, dates, raisins, it's all here. The taste following a similar path, but maltiness, toffee and a smattering of spiciness adds to the proceedings. Nice softness in the mouth, a little dryness at the end, a very pleasant but deftly sour tang. This is excellent.

Can sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Hazy deep amber-brown. Vanilla, bourbon, malt, caramel, coconut, dark fruits, some nuts, sweet, medium to full-bodied, rounded. Very nice.
