creamy, firm, billowy light beige, 2+ finger head with great retention and lots of sticky,
soapy, and intricate lacing.
Nose: The nose is earthy, dank, citrusy, slightly sweet, and malty. There are aromas of
peppery rye bread, juniper, pine resin, grapefruit rind, orange zest, dark chocolate,
graham cracker, and a hint of liquid smoke and Worchester sauce.
Taste: The taste is peppery, citrusy, earthy, and a little smoky. There are notes of
marble rye bread, dark chocolate, pine, black tea, and a black pepper finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium to full-bodied with moderate carbonation, the mouthfeel is crisp,
with a peppery, slightly bitter, and smoky finish.

Taster at Boise winter Ale fest. Dark brown pour, foamy head. Aroma is roasty, burnt toast, pumpernickel. Taste is dark, roasty and bitter, mild sweetness. Lovely body, full. Really nice overall roasty bitterness.

Canned at Beehive, SLC. Black with beige head. Roasty, hoppy, pine, some fruity notes, rye, nice bitter finish. Medium bodied.

16 oz can split with a buddy at the brewery. Dark brown with off white head, full body. Rye bitterness prominent in the aroma. Burnt grain taste, bitter malty finish. Nicely done!
