Can from Kvickly Odder @ Home. Pours black with a fading brown head, light lacings. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, cake, nuts. Flavor is sweet, roast malt, caramel, chocolate, cocoa, cake, nutty, some alcohol. Medium body, average carbonation, sweet finish with light warming alcohol. 240625

Vollmundig malziger Beginn mit Kakao und Vanille. Schokolade, ein wenig Alkohol, allerdings nicht störend sondern gut eingebunden. Cremig malzig, der Vanilleton nimmt ab, bleibt aber erkennbar. Viel Kakao, ein Hauch Kaffee, vollmundig. Süßlich, nicht aber künstlich oder übertrieben, langer Nachgeschmack. Gut. 9/11/12/12/13/12

Cette Amundsen est finalement très convenue, et manque, comme nombre de Pastry Imperial Stout de finesse. Si on la compare à la 3 beans Stout de Lervig, celle-ci est moins intense mais également moins sucrée. Par contre, la vanille est bien trop poussée avec un rendu relativement plat. Et même si l'alcool soutient bien la structure tout en réchauffant quelque peu, il ne donne pas assez d'élan à mon sens. Bref nous sommes encore dans le travers de genre de stout, on y va à fond sur les ajouts pour en mettre plein la vue, mais on passe à côté de l'essentiel, la subtilité, qui, quand elle est alliée à la complexité, à la force et au caractère nous donne de grandes bières. Sur le visuel, un noir classique, profond avec une mousse brune s'estompant rapidement. Quant aux arômes, vous aurez compris, nous sommes sur un trio café, chocolat et vanille direct. Bière de très bonne facture, mais qui est attendue.

Aroma: Cocoa and vanilla with notes of malt and coffee. Flavour: Malty sweet with cocoa and coffee bitterness and notes of vanilla. Aftertaste is sweet and lightly bitter. Colour: Dark brown with a light brown head. From: Can @ Væskebalancen Aarhus.

44cl can. A very dark reddish brown beer with a tan head. Aroma of coffee beans, cocoa, tonka beans and vanilla. Taste of sweet dark malt, chocolate, tonka beans, some coffee, vanilla. Good!

Can from Eltham Wines. Black pour with swiftly dissipating beige head. Nose is coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, cola,liquorice toffee. Sacks of coffee in the taste, backed up with a spot of dark chocolate, sweet tobacco, cocoa, toffee, touch of coconut. Long sweet warming aftertaste. Yum 😋!

Svart med beige skum. Lukter kokos og mørk sjokolade. Smaker kaffe mokka. sjokolade og noe alkohol. Litt pulverkaffe i ettersmaken.

Can at home. Has a dark brown to black colour with a small light brown head. Aroma of chocolate truffles, peanutt butter, ash, cocoa and licorice. Some liqour in the background. Flavour of chocolate truffles, cocoa, ash, coffee, licorice and warming alcohol in the end. Has a slick and silky mouth feel, full-bodied and a light bitterness. Tasteful, rich and filled with cocoa.

Black with a low brown head - Roasted malt aroma - Roasted malt body with some coffee and caramel notes - The roasted malt with coffee and caramel flavours goes into the finish with bitterness - This was good
