Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 33B: not declared / 30A: lactose, vanilla, cinnamon / 20C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L18122020 (BBF 12.2045). AROMA: medium-high alcohol aroma with a vinous and almost lacqer-like character. low background notes of chocolate, barrel and faint dried fruits, masked by the alcohol. APPEARANCE: very dark brown body and opaque with faint ruby highlights. medium-low brown color, creamy, with medium-low retention. leg formation. TASTE: initial medium-high alcoholic flavor with a strong vinous character, followed by slight wood, dark chocolate, faint vanillin and dried fruits. medium bitterness with a dry and woody and chocolaty finish. MOUTHFELL: medium-full body with medium carbonation. alcoholic warmth present a bit hot. OVERALL: it would be more interesting if it was less boozy. unbalanced.

330ml. bottle. @home, 28/01/2021 [#3.751 Global - #199 Portugal - #38 Dois Corvos Cervejeira] Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is raisins, port wine, rum barrels and peated malts. Taste is port barrels, raisins, dark chocolate and roasted malts. Boozy and warm finish. Next one please!
