Tap at the brewpub. Clear amber with small short lasting head. Probably the darkest cider I’ve ever had. Fresh apple, light earthy notes with a bit of caramel, soft drying grass, apple peel. Light sweet and very light bitter and tart. About medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Not bad at all.

Draught @ La Lanterne Microbrasserie, 5, rue de la Lanterne, Strasbourg, France 67000.Clear medium amber colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy apple, apple porridge - warm apple porridge, brown sugar, sweet apples, warm - caramelized apples. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration, brown sugar, sugary apples, apple porridge, earthy notes. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat. [20121003]
