Tried at the Deeping Beer Festival 2017. Very pale golden colour with a white head. Slight pine resin and lemon aroma. Taste light caramel to light bitter taste. Light body.

Gravity cask at the Townhouse 2017 Beer Festival, Ely. Very pale, flirting with straw. Quite flat and only a tiny suggestion of head on top. Smells bloody lovely, with a aroma of the Mosaic taking centre stage. Peach, light citrus, ripe papaya and a touch of sweat combine with the sweetness of the malt. I struggle with the taste at first - balance seems off and there’s a sharp medicinal character - but I grow to embrace the complexity the more I drink. There’s an undefinable almost meaty savouriness to it that takes a while to get used to. Body’s thin but the hop bitterness lifts the long finish and citrussy aftertaste. I’m wondering if gravity cask is the best way to serve this beer. A+ for effort but B- for execution.
