Cask at the Leicester Beer Festival, 2018. Pours amber copper with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma of caramel, biscuit, fruit, hop and malt. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Light to moderate body, slight oily and watery texture, soft to flat carbonation.

Tried at the Lincoln beer festival 2017. Chestnut colour with an off white head. Aroma slight floral with nutty malt. Taste light sweet to long bitter.

Handpull cask at the Maypole, Cambridge. Strong iced tea brown, clear with a film of off-white head. Oak chips, milk chocolate, hyssop, chestnut in the aroma. Doggedly bitter taste offset only slightly by the nutty maltiness. Long intense bitter finish. Thin body (and a bit flat). Verdict: not perfect but a bloody fine brown. I love this brewery and jump at the chance to try their beers when I see them.
