Fermented with London Ale yeast for lots of fruity ester, and the biggest dry hop bill we've ever done of; Motueka, Wai-iti, Nugget, Kohatu, Ekuanot and Moutere. Bringing notes of citrus, pine and stonefruits, with a pleasant bitterness that keeps the booze in check!

440ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish, golden colour with average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity, slightly piney, minimally citrusy, hoppy aroma, notes of pineapple, yellow stone fruit, some pear, melon, a touch of lemon, slightly biscuity, pale malty and oaty background. Taste is mildly bitter, fruity and minimally piney hoppy, sweet-ish, biscuity pale malty, slightly dry oaty, initially good teamplay between malty basis and fruity notes of pineapple, pear, lemon, restricted presence of yellow stone fruit, increasing bitterness and fading fruitiness lead to a change of roles in the middle chapter, the bitterness takes over the dominant part; the last third is rather bitter and additionally quite mineral and chalky. Oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally sticky palate, fine and soft carbonation. Harmonious and balanced in the beginning, a shift of emphasis in the middle part rocks the boat, imbalance and an unpleasant kind of hop bitterness are the result. Would be very good if the initial quality could stand the gaff.

Can. Hazy gold beer, decent bubbly pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, very slightly soft but with developing fine minerally carbonation. Smooth malts, a light creamy sweetness. The complex NZ hop array delivers a complex array of flavours. Mellow skunk underneath. On top, crisp pine, mild lime and lime peel. A floral citrus melange, tangerine peeping above. Something like pink grapefruit. A little citric peel bitterness and mild hop spice towards the end. Nice. Plenty going on here and pretty drinkable.

Huge amounts of mangoes. Refresher sweets. Hi-chews. Gummy bear texture in liquid form. Slight astringency which is its only downfall. Surprisingly bitter for what is generally an accomplished and well-thought out NEDIPA hybrid beer. Rather dangerous.
