Vollmundiger, cremig malziger Beginn. Viel Schokolade, milde Herbe, intensiv. Würzig malzig bleibend, dabei ist der Alkohol hervorragend eingebunden. Etwas trocken im Hintergrund, langer, etwas röstiger Abgang, weiterhin Schokolade, Kakao. Gut. 9/13/11/13/11/13

Dark brown. Aroma is mushroom forward a little cocoa and roasted caramel malty base. A little tickle of prickly pear in the nose. Taste is intense cocoa malt with not too much sweetness. Also lots of bitter dark chocolate. More umami mushroom. Intense and thick. Finish of cocoa and cinnamon. Not a huge fan of the mushrooms but apart from that quite decent.

Bottle, danke Günther! Black, Creamy dark tan head. Light fruity roast nose, somewhat tart, bready nose. Medium body, chewy dry. Dry chocolate, a bit berry, a hint oud bruin, nuts, a hint leather, pleasant herbal finish.

Flascherl: Deep amber coloured with a ruby sheen, small persistent off-white foamy layer, robust sweet-bitter aroma of leafy-earthy hops and toasted/roasted malt, illusions of dried fruits and nuts; moderate to solid sweet and bitter flavour, medium to full bodied and pretty soft; lingering sweet-bitter toasty and nutty finish with a certain balancing bitterness in the aftertaste. Very aromatic stuff, just a bit on the sweet side...

28-12-20 // 330ml bottle via Bierwichteln. More classic style, dry and roasted a little dusty cocoa and coffee. A roast bitterness. I really like. Well done. --- Beer merged from original tick of Braumeisteredition #33 (Korbinian Häußler) - Bittersweet Symphony on 29 Dec 2020 at 20:19 - Score: 8.
