440ml can. Pours jet black with a large head. Aroma is blackcurrant hop and a little coffee. Taste has blackcurrant and yeasty roast to start, with more blackcurrant on the finish.

Keg at Brewdog shepherds Bush. A oily dark brown black coloured pour with a creamy mid tan head. Aroma is tangy coffee, woody roast, spicy resinous piney hop, some alcohol. Squeeze of lemon on the nose as well. . Flavour is composed of semi sweet, rounded woody roast, light woody coffee, resinous pine, lemon. Drinks light a toasty black ipa,. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, sticky hop, oily, moderate carbonation. Good stuff.

On keg at Brewdog Lothian Road. Appearance - dark brown to black with a crema head. Nose - dark chocolate with just an edge of molasses. Taste - smoke and molasses. Palate - roasty finish after a medium body and crunchy texture. Overall - good if a bit simple.
