All aboard the 'haze craze' train, with this pair of murky, single dry-hopped NEIPAs. Citra Haze is a perfect example of the style, with a more pronounced malt presence than a west coast IPA, a big mouthfeel and - most importantly - a truckload of passionfruit and lychee from lavish quantities of Citra hops.

1/12/2018. Bottle from Beer52 and shared at the 1st Kesgrave 50/50 bottle share. Pours slightly hazy golden with a large off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, hops and fruit. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Not a NEIPA as suggested on the label.

Appearance- amber, with a small clingy white head. Aroma- orange, pineapple, hops, tropical fruit, pine. Taste- bitter hops, rough malt hints, pineapple, more hops, short bitter finish. Bit better than the El Dorado.

Hazy golden beer, white head. Grassy, grapefruit-y hop aroma. Bitter, tropical fruit taste with just a bit of sweetness. Overall it's quite dry, both in the flavour and the finish, though it doesn't linger. There is a nice hint of passionfruit in the aftertaste. This isn't anything special and it's not that distinctive but it's a perfectly decent IPA, even if it's not much like any of the other NEIPAs I've had.
