1/12/2018. Bottle from Beer52 and shared at the 1st Kesgrave 50/50 bottle share. Pours very dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of chocolate, liquorice, coffee, dark fruit and vanilla. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Sweet, roasted finish. Quite enjoyable.

Appearance- almost black, with a thick fluffy light brown head of 1-2 fingers. Aroma- chocolate, toffee, coffee, brown bread hints, fruitcake. Taste- chocolate milk, toffee penny, milky coffee, biscuity malt. Thicker mouthfeel than Chubby Fingers, the oats have made a difference here.

33cl bottle from Beer52. A glossy black colour with a ring of tan head; oaty aroma with underlying chocolate; smooth in the mouth with rich chocolate balanced nicely by the oaty body; followed by a light bitterness wirh dark roasted malts and coffee grounds. A nicely balanced stout.

Black beer, thick light brown head. Smells of rich, earthy malt. Taste has the same hefty malt, rich chocolate, a bit of tangy hop on the tongue but ultimately it's really smooth. Rich, hearty aftertaste with a dash of coffee. This is rather splendid.

Tried in a bottle from Beer52. Deep almost black colour with a big tan head. Light roasted malty aroma and taste. Certainly has a crazier body than chubby fingers.
