In contrast to its sister beer, the T-45 yeast used in Zag delivers an estery, peppery, spicy character, perfectly complementing the medium body and subtle hop profile.

13/1/2019. Bottle, gift from a friend, obtained from Beer52. Pours pale gold with minimal off-white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, yeast, malt, bread, grass and light peppery spices. Medium plus sweetness with light bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation. Sweet, fruity, bready finish. Not bad, certainly better than Zig.

33cl bottle from Beer52. A follow up to Zig. A slightly darker amber colour with a lasting white head and less carbonation; estery aroma with a touch of apple and pear; quite lively in teh mouth with a biscuity body and some orchard fruit; then a dry cider-like finish with a touch of warming spice. Definitely a contrast to Zag, though I'm not sure which I prefer.

Had this one after its Elements Project partner, Zig. Pale yellow, lively, white head. Spicy, bready, citrus aroma. Taste has tangy, lemon citrus. A bit of banana, bready in the flavour too. Bitter, peppery aftertaste. Pretty nice, with a sharp and crisp taste to it.

Ok. Better than Zig, as it doesn't have the cloying sweetness.

Bottle from beer52. The cousin of Zig, and they were both very similar. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma slight citrus, a touch of spice. Taste light sweet. Medium body.
