This pair of blondes both use traditional Belgian yeasts, but with very different results. Zig employs a classic abbey yeast and is brimming with fruit clove notes, reminiscent of your favourite Trappist brews.

1/12/2018. Bottle from Beer52 and shared at the 1st Kesgrave 50/50 bottle share. Pours slightly hazy pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, hops and malt. Medium sweetness, modwerate bitterness. Moderate body, watery and oily texture, soft carbonation. Very bland, too thin, no one particularly enjoyed this one around the table.

33cl bottle from Beer52. Tried before it's companion Zag. A paleish amber pour with an immediately fading white head leaving light carbonation; the aroma has fruity esters with some banana and cardamon; quite lively in the mouth with a mellow fruity taste; witha herbal bitterness and a lingering dry banana finish. An interesting blond beer - I'm looking forward to trying its cousin.

Trying this before it's Elements Project partner, Zag. Clear golden beer, white head, lively. Light, sweet, bready scent. Taste is sweet citrus and banana bread. There's nothing particularly interesting and other than a bit of a savoury backtaste it doesn't really stay with you but it's decent.
