Golden Pride is a premium, superior-strength bottled ale.

Brewed to 8.5% ABV, it is equivalent in strength to Belgian Abbey beer or barley wine, and is designed to be consumed in smaller measures than the traditional pint.

Golden Pride is known for its rich malty flavours, good balance, and notes of orange oil, toasted grain and spicy fruitcake. The late Michael Jackson, beer writer and connoisseur, labelled it 'the Cognac of beers'.

Bottle. Malty aroma and taste, caramel, honey, ripped fruit, medium bitter, light sweet notes. Medium to full body, malty fruity bitter finish with long warming alcohol notes. Ok.

Bottle from Waitrose, West Byfleet. Aroma of malts and boozy syrup. Light chestnut. Creamy off-white head. Sweet fruits with a bitter edge. Underlying malts. Medium bodied. Sticky mouthfeel. Long slightly astringent finish. Lovely rich stuff. Would happily drink this all day.

Bottle. Amber color. Plum jam in the aroma. Malty sweet, slightly earthy flavor with dried plums and marmelade. Nutmeg in the aftertaste. Likeable.

0.5 bottle.
It has an extraordinary color with a light auburn brown and creamy foam. Nice. Caramel, dried fruit, cognac scent. The taste is sweet, aromatic, clove, fruity, raisin, very unique and serious. Low carbon dioxide content, serious aftertaste. Drunk under the influence, yet the stuff is percussive. It is similar to doppel-bock beers in top fermentation design. Extremely recommended !!!

Rendkìvüli színe van, világos gesztenyebarna, krémszínű habbal. Nice. Karamelles, aszalt gyümölcsös, konyakos illat. Ize édes, aromás, szegfűszeges, gyümölcsös, mazsolás, nagyon egyedi, és komoly. Gyenge szénsav tartalom, komoly utóízek. Alkohol elbujtatva, mégis ütős a cucc. Hasonlít a dupla bak sörökre felső erjesztésű kivitelben. Extrán ajánlott!!!

Bottle. Waitrose. Clear, dark copper colour. Skim and halo of off white head. Nose has sugary water. Some baked apple. Some toffee apple. Steeped vine fruits. Hint of vanilla. Taste is sweet, with a vine fruit, estery bitterness. Sticky on the lips, but not particularly a full mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Sweet vine fruits to finish. Never had a this on cask, but I’d wager it’s way better than this pasteurised version. It’s ok, but it’s just too sugary and clean.

From cask, thanks rayaron, no head, clear dark red color with brown hues, aroma of dark honey, brown bread and waxy hints, flavor of honey with some wax and roots with hints of tea and dried fruit. Fair and drinkable, but a bit too heavy on the honey.
