Can at home from the brewery. Pours jet black with thin beige head. Nose is earthy, nutty, chocolatey and lightly acidic coffee and toffee with some bready malts. Taste is chocolate, somewhat fruity and acidic, moderately roasted coffee with a hint of vanilla and the malts to hold up all these. Closes with long lasting chocolate and coffee finish, has light to medium, incredibly smooth creamy body and soft carbonation. Love the coffee in this and body is so incredibly smooth I had to check if there's any lactose in there (thank god there's none!). Perhaps a tad too sweet, but otherwise pretty nicely done. EDIT: Just saw that the description says it has lactose in it, even though the list of ingredients on the can doesnt mention it. Oh well.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is chocolaty, roasted, coffee and chocolate with some liquorice. Flavour is chocolaty, roasted, some sugary and syrupy tones with some latteish notes.

Can from Beers of Europe. Opaque dark brown color, bright tan head with good retention. Aroma of earthy coffee, vanilla, sweet edge, long lingering finish. Wish I wasn't lactose intolerant.

440ml can at the Beer Bank, Kuala Lumpur. Poured almost black in colour with a short-lived, frothy tan head and some clingy lace. The aroma is roasty malt, light cinnamon. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, rich, roasted malt, liqourice, dry coffee, light warm alcohol, liqourice bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Can, 0.44l. Aroma of coffee, dried fruit, roasted malt, vanilla, wood and milk chocolate. Pours almost black color with thick creamy brown head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with sweet chocolate and nuts, follows by vanilla, roasted malt, white coffee and faint whiskey, mouthfeel is warm and mild spicy, while finish is mild bitter. Full body, thick creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Almost a garden of eden…

On tap at stadsbrouwhuis. Pours black, small head. Aroma is coffee, roasty, cacao, vanilla, sweet. Medium body. Flavour is dark malts, sweet, lots of coffee, darkish roast, vanilla. Very nice.

Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. LOng heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.
