A perfect winter beer, this Black IPA is as dark as the early nights rolling in and as fresh as frosty mornings. We used Citra Cryo, Amarillo & Centennial hops for this deliciously well-balanced IPA. Malts: Clear Choice Extra Pale, Oats, Wheat, Cara Gold.

Cask at Bakers Vaults, Stockport. Pours deepest brown with beige tan foam. Toasty malt bitterness, caramel, tinge of liquorice, piney hop finish. Super smooth, nicely balanced. Medium body with soft carbonation. Maybe a touch sweet overall but it was very much enjoyed.

Gravity cask at Crewe Rail Ale Festival. Pours almost black with a sizeable cream head and good lacing. There proved to be a fruity aroma with some caramel. Hops of the traditional variety are what first hit the taste buds. But there is plenty of roasted malt too, along with liquorice , vanilla and a little coffee. Finish is dry and hoppy. This is excellent !

Can on the train to Bingohame, thanks to James, 11/06/21. Murky brown with a good sized khaki covering. Nose is dried berry fruits, pine dusting, light charr, cocoa sprinkle. Taste comprises cola cubes, light roast, pine needle, mixed tropical fruits, red berry skins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with balanced hop bitterness. Tidy enough CDA.
