Panda at home Thanks to SHIG. An oily nutty brown coloured pour with a fine tan head. Aroma is nice earthy pine needles, chocolate malts, jammy fruits, raspberry chocolate squares. Flavour is comp[osed of semi sweet, rounded mellow roast, chcolate, apricot jam, berry. Lingering woody pine, firm bitterness. Palate is semi sweet, oily, fine carbonation. Good BIPA.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 10/01/21. Black with a decent tan cap. Nose is dried red berry fruits, toffee, light roasted notes, cola cubes, hint of pine. Taste comprises bitter roast, dried red berries, pine dusting, light spice, mineral bite, modest charr, sharp tropical fruit notes. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, light drying close spiked with dusty hop bitterness. Respectable enough CDA.

Can: Poured a black with a huge light brown head. Aroma is hoppy forward with a roasted malt nose. Taste is roasted malts, bitter hops, citrus a bit but very balanced with roasty malts.

10/9/2020. Can at the Dove Street Inn, Ipswich. Pours black with a long lasting creamy off-white head. Aroma is hoppy, deeply roasted, citrus, chocolate, light coffee. Light sweetness and medium plus bitterness. Medium body, creamy texture, average to soft carbonation. Very good example of the style.

Can from Bottles & Books. Black body with a thin beige head. Soft fizz. Aroma of blackberry and coffee. Flavour of Ribena and blueberry skin. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. A decent Black IPA but nothing here really stands out.
