500ml bottle. Pours dark, moderate off-white head. Standard old school stout, nicely balanced, nicely presented, moderate roast. Decent.

Tried at the York Beer Festival. Almost black colour with a tan head. Aroma roasted malt slight burnt. Taste starts dry to a roasted bitter finish. Smooth body.

7/12/2018. Cask at The Thirty Fifth Pig’s Ear Festival, Hackney. Pours almost black with a tan coloured head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, slight ash and liquorice, toffee and vanilla. Medium sweetness and bitterness. Medium to full bodied, smooth texture, very soft carbonation. Nice roasted bitterness to finish. Quite traditional. Enjoyed this.
