Molly is head of vineyard security, anyone that has visited us will have met our Molly, especially when there is food on the go, she is particularly fond of our campers!

As a puppy we brewed a very special beer for her, as a chocolate Labrador, it had to be a chocolate stout. Here it is, weighing in at 7%, it’s definitely one to be sipped and enjoyed.

Bottle from Czerwik, Brighouse. Black with no head and slightly oily in its pour. This is a case of strength over flavour and chocolate is absent for it, apart from maybe some hints of sweetness.

500ml bottle from Mitchells Wines, Meadowhead - Dull cola like body, no head. Nose is roasty as expected. Taste has a bit of dried cocoa powder, little bitterness.

Tried at the York Beer Festival. Black colour with a thin head. Aroma is roasted malt but with an underlying tangy sourness. Taste has very little malt but more of that weird sourness. Medium body. Not my thing.
