Members of the York Homebrew Club went on to found and run Brew York; now, Brew York have collaborated with current Homebrew Club members to create an exclusive new beer called Barghest. The Barghest is a local legend of a monstrous black dog with fiery eyes, preying on lone travellers in the snickleways of York. As for the beer, it’s a suitably dark and beastly brew, with big, fruity American hops, and a robust blend of six malts. This version uses the AY5 yeast strain to give a 7.6% abv.
