Bottle from Norwich Food and Drink, Cromer. Black colour with a thin tan head. Aroma is apple, smoke and molasses. Taste tart to sharp apple with a roasted malt bitterness. Full body and crisp.

This may well already be on here, but as RB is completely broken at the minute it’s hard to tell. Anyway. Bottle. Hoptimism online, I think. Clear, very dark, reddy brown. Fine, dense, off white head. Nose has Poppyland smoke. Pretty savoury and hot dog like. Black treacle. Some liquorice and leather. Taste is tart and smoky sweet. Clean on the palate. Fairly drying. Fine carbonation. Tart and smoky finish, with a hint of apple on the close. Curious beer, but then it would be.
